Dr Hardip Nandra MB ChB, MBA, DRCOG, DFFP, MRCGP
Chair
Dr Nandra qualified in 1986 from Glasgow University and did his GP Training at Newham Hospital and Hornchurch. He has been a GP in Newham since 1992 where he is now the Senior Partner of Essex Lodge Surgery, accredited Teaching and Training Practice.
Dr Nandra is also a GP Trainer, GPWSI in Minor Surgery, Substance Misuse, and Chronic Pain. Furthermore he is the Chair I-health Ltd provider of NHS community based clinical services. More recently Dr Nandra has been appointment the Clinical Director of the Newham UCC. He is also a leading partner in the consortium that holds the UCC contract.

Dr Chandra has been a GP in Newham since 1986, firstly as a partner in a group practice and latterly taking over a small single handed practice, which has developed into a partnership with a list size of 7000. He has been at the forefront of developing a group of federated practices with clear succession plan, service development and premises development for 22000 patients.
Dr Chandra played a pivotal role in bringing GPs together to improve patient care, experience and outcome. He was a founding member of the Newham GP forum, Newham Multifund, and Newham Health Partnership Clinical Commissioning Group.
Long experience of serving the diverse population in a deprived area has provided an insight and experience of needs assessment of communities and improve services to address the needs and improve patient experience and outcome.
Being involved in developing organisations from scratch as well as chairing , has acquired and developed tremendous organisational experience and capacity.
